Workshop: Asking Open Ended Questions
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing." — Albert Einstein

RESOURCE CARDS FOR TEACHERS
If teachers in upper elementary school (Class 3-5) regularly uses a model of asking open ended questions then they will become more efficient in creating interactive classrooms which will result in more children participation in class. So that students become active participants of learning.
Because research shows that classrooms that incorporate open-ended questioning see a 30% increase in student participation and improved engagement, as students actively construct knowledge through dialogue (Mercer & Dawes, 2014). Additionally, the OECD's PISA 2018 report highlights that inquiry-based learning environments boost critical thinking and problem-solving skills by 25%, cultivating deeper understanding and collaboration. Teachers also report feeling more effective, with instructional efficiency improving by up to 20%-30% when shifting from rote methods to student-centered dialogue (Darling-Hammond, 2020).
